I have been trying to bring positive changes in my life for years. I take one challenge at a time and avoid overwhelming myself with too many changes, so my body and mind respond positively.

The best approach is to start detoxing anything that has brought toxicity into your life or is not contributing positively, instead degrading your quality of life and peace of mind. Here are some 30-day challenges you can try:

  • Social Media Detox: Almost everyone suffers from the toxicity of social media. I excel at this—I uninstalled Instagram three years ago and deleted my Facebook account. However, if that feels too drastic, start small: take a 1-day challenge, then extend it to a week, and eventually a month. This will definitely help.
  • Waking Up Early: This is a game-changer. Push yourself to wake up early for just one day, then another, and continue for a month. It’s easier than you think once you get into the rhythm.
  • Sugar Detox: Try going a month without sugar. Avoid it in tea, coffee, or any sweets. If you go to the market, resist buying chocolates or sugary products. If you drink tea, try quitting it or substituting sugar with jaggery.
  • Exercise for 30 Minutes: Commit to exercising for just half an hour every day. If that feels hard, simply go to your terrace, use the stairs, and come back down. Start with two rounds, then increase to three or five.
  • 15-Minute Meditation: Dedicate 15 minutes every day to meditation. You can sit quietly, practice Tratak (candle meditation), chant mantras, or simply chant "Om."
  • Daily Journaling: Write about your emotions each night. Reflect on what triggered you, what made you happy, or what made you cry. Analyze your day and identify patterns in your thoughts and feelings.

Pick any one or two challenges to start with. Don’t think about the whole month as a daunting task—just take it one day at a time. Tell yourself, “I just need to do this today,” and repeat it daily. You’ll be amazed at how powerful and in control you actually are!
