Education can never be overrated. Education is precious, some people get it after suffering a lot.
Here comes a dream-crusher answer. You are gifted with a special talent like everyone else. And you have to face a huge bulk of people to reach the apex , there can be only one person at the apex. Right?

But not everyone can manage to be like them. And by everyone I mean billions of people on this planet. And hence, Education to the rescue.

Edit: This answer, by any means does not mean to say that hardwork and talent does not do wonders, but it just means that when your hardwork and talent fails, education can save your life. Working hard is not surety of success. There are a lot of failures who have worked hard but failed, education does not makes you very successful, maybe, but it sure does save your life. It makes you mediocre but still it gives you bread and butter. What's so wrong in it?
