Learning about trading only from books is like learning about sex from romantic novels.
Whatever subject we talk about, theory is always great and that’s something everyone should begin with. However, you could read, listen and research all you want but the practical experience is something you get only by doing. Trading is no different. In your process- you should certainly aim to obtain knowledge first but then you should look to apply it as well and see how it goes from there.
Making a jump can often be scary but it is a necessary step.
Keep in mind that getting your feet wet usually goes along with a lot of mistakes and this is why traders should always start small.
When you are starting out, don’t chase money.
Chase knowledge, chase experience, chase survival, money comes later on.
Later, when?
When you learn. How the game works, why moves happens the way they do, how the crowd reacts in different situations, which patterns repeat and so on. Always have the bigger picture in mind and play the long term game.
