How to stop overthinking?

  1. Use positive statements when you start to overthink.
  2. Be aware of your thoughts and focus on the here and now.
  3. Focus on what's within your control and you can change.
  4. Identify irrational fears which lead to overthinking.
  5. Distract yourself with a small concentration task.
  6. Journal to get the thoughts out of your head.
  7. Focus your energy on solutions rather than problems.
  8. Don't put pressure on yourself to handle it alone.
