What aspects of reading makes you excited about reading?

I bought this book today out of sheer curiosity.

I had never heard of it. Or maybe I have, but I don’t remember.

From the cover, I couldn't tell much about what this book is about.

Only a little.

It only hints that this book is going to be amazing. Or that’s just me hoping it's going to be.

I don't know if it will be.

This book is one of those impulse buys that you regret only if the read isn’t good.

But that’s the thing I like most about reading. It’s the experience. It’s the journey.

You still pick a book when you could easily have searched for its summary or explainer.

But I hope you don’t do that. Not that often.

This makes me excited about reading. More than a flex, reading is a getaway from everything we’re supposed to mug up day in and day out.

That’s what makes it exciting.

Sometimes you know what to expect, sometimes you don’t.
Sometimes the book stands up to your expectations, sometimes it won’t.

But the real joy is in reading what you like. It’s personal and let it remain that way. It’s fun!

P.S. Who just buys one book?
