Where do the emotions come from: the brain or the heart?

It is totally illogical to say that the heart is responsible for emotions. it is actually promoted and advertised by movies and cinemas.

But the hard function is only to pump blood in every part, it is the brain or I can say our oldest brain which is 120000 years old which is called the lizard brain.

In other terms it is also called Amygdala is primarily responsible for emotions and basic necessities like fight and flight.
