What sounds extremely wrong, but is actually correct?
In Ayurveda it's says the first saliva in morning has healing properties and one is suppose to drink water soon after waking so that the saliva can be ingested. Saliva is there the whole day and if stale food particles are not there it's not harmful. Any bruise in mouth is healed faster than oter parts of body due to saliva. It's natural response that if you get cut on your finger you put it in your mouth and saliva kind of provides antiseptic relief. Please ask an ayurvedic doctor before asking a modern dentist with no knowledge of healing body by its own, naturally. God didn't provide you with hospitals but he did provide you with medicines readily available in your own system. Isn't it obvious,,,after we eat food teeth n mouth get a load of sugar and bacteria already present will start metabolizing and produce acid (and thus plaque). Since it's claimed two times brushing is safe but doing more often will both clean your teeth n destroy you enamel and teeth gum so 2x is safest for average person. You can just gurgle using mouth wash or plain water the other times
Genetics is ok but for normal persons,it is a good guide. You must have come across persons with bad dietery habits, smoking etc lead a healthy life and a person who is very careful with respect to food, morning walk and other exercise has got diabetes or BP. This second person will not change his routine and leave his health to his genes. You seriously believe in 'Animals don't need to brush’ theory?
Animals eat raw food and don't eat sugars like we do. Dogs who are pets also face tooth problems because their owner's treat them with similar diets as humans. Now don't start with not eating sugar and all, it ain't idealistic world.
Also humans have to outlive their teeth. We maintain them by brushing, cleaning because we need them for 60+ years. Animals in the wild don't live long enough to face tooth and gum problems.
This is literally garbage western practice. There is a big buildup of bacteria when you sleep overnight because saliva stays stagnant in the mouth. If you eat without brushing you’ll ingest this.
This doesn't even sound right. I brush every night and when I wake up, my mouth (esp. tongue) has built up odor. That's indication enough from the body- signalling us to wash. When we brush, we don't just brush. We clean our tongue and sides of the mouth, we gargle and rinse. The mouth needs washing as soon as we wake up. And brushing is how we wash it. So, yes. We need to brush as soon as we wake up. Do whatever suits you, but it also depends on genetics and eating habits as well.
My parents never looked into how to do “proper” brushing. I can’t remember when they have visited the dentist or brushed their teeth in the nighttime. Still in his 70s, living with healthy teeth and gums. One thing I know is that they have rarely visited a restaurant. The same goes to my all of my parents’ brothers and sisters.
I know my many friends in their 40s with receded gums, countless fillings, and root canals.
What time do you want people to brush if they brush after eating their breakfast? Everyone brushes their teeth at work, school or at noon?
Please read my answer till the end.
There is absolutely nothing to wake up in the morning and go straight to brush your teeth!
Physicians recommend brushing twice a day, which means that teeth should be brushed after breakfast and dinner, respectively.
Whenever you eat sugary food, there are lots of bacteria in the food plaque stuck in the teeth. And the acid produced by those bacteria directly attacks the enamel of your teeth. Whenever you brush your teeth, you remove the food that sticks to the teeth, that white sticky layer of plaque.
So, if you don't brush every day after dinner, bacteria get a longer time (8 hours) to damage your teeth. Then, if you don't brush your teeth after breakfast, they ruin your teeth again throughout the day.
Conversely, if you brush your teeth after breakfast, by lunch your face will be clean and germ-free. If you brush again after dinner, you don't even need to brush your teeth when you wake up in the morning. After lunch, we don't need to brush our teeth before dinner, we can tolerate that time.
At the same time, remember to wait 30-60 minutes after eating, then brush your teeth. Otherwise, the enamel of your teeth may be damaged.
Be aware of yourself and make everyone aware.
thank you 🙏
