What made you sad today (India)?
It's rather an Instagram post by Indian Cricketer Virender Sehwag.
Man vs Wild. TokyOlympic version.
Indian wrestler Ravi Kumar Dahiya, who eventually went on to win a silver medal for the country, was playing Kazakh wrestler cum chain saw Nurislam Sanayev in the semi finals.
During what was the winning move by the Indian hero, the Kazakh player bite Ravi on his arm for 15 long seconds. But this pain couldn't defeat the grit and determination of Ravi Kumar to not to undo this move and win the match to go into the finals.
When the fans were enjoying a nail biting finish, Ravi was going through an arm biting finish.
The image below shows the desperate man's bite is worse than that of a dog.
This event made me both sad for and proud of Ravi Kumar Dahiya.
Champions don't foul play. Ravi Kumar went injured to the finals to win a silver medal for the country.
I am not sure if any penalty has been imposed on the Kazakh player, but he should be banned from participating in such sports. This is purely inhuman and against the ethics of any professional sports and tournament.

In Hungary they get paid quite well, which partially explains why Hungary has the most golds per capita in the history of Summer Olympic games. 18,5 golds per million people as of 2021 August 3 to be precise.
In Tokyo Hungarian medalists get;
Gold: 50 million HUF (140.000 EUR)
Silver: 35,7 million HUF (100.000 EUR)
Bronze: 28,5 million HUF (80.000 EUR)
One can buy a small to medium sized home with these prizes in Hungary, so it’s quite decent.
Plus they get free admission to any Hungarian university, which might explain why so many Hungarian athletes and former athletes hold PhD titles.
For those with somewhat less intellectual aspirations there are sponsorship deals to compliment the prize.
Finally for those with the least intellectual aspirations there is the option to become a celebrity. Pays ok, rarely worth it.
Kristóf Milák, who won the gold that made Hungary number one in the proportional all time summer olympics golds competition.
