Does your academics really matter in life?

There are so many examples of people who don’t even have a degree but are successful in life and there are people who have a degree but are doing nothing in life.

One of my family friend, she went to New York to study, got her degree, came back to India and now is waiting to find a perfect guy for herself. She has not earned even ₹1 in her life. On the other hand, another friend of mine, took a loan and started his business after class 12th, now is a successful businessman. He has even paid off the loan and is earning more than this friends who have a degree.

In engineering, it matters again.

So it's all about perspective.

Saying that 'academics' doesn't matter in life is a myth. Unless you're extremely lucky, more often that not academics matter. And that's not only because it fetches you marks which land you to your dream college/stream or whatever - but because when you study something genuinely - make your academics strong you gain knowledge and skills which will help you later on.

While a lot of you might argue, how class 10th academics don't really help except for maybe as a proof of date of birth - the marks might not matter much now but whatever you've learnt have given you a skill forever.

I can vouch, how I've gained so much of knowledge after taking up Science and then MBBS and how being serious in my academics has opened up many doors of opportunities

Now even if tomorrow, I would want to change my stream - I'm pretty sure the skills I'm equipped with because of my academics will help me.

Never let the lines that 'academics' don't matter blind you and justify your mediocrity. Academics helps you build the basics of life.

Because, believe it or not - academics makes it easier for the doors of opportunities to open up for you.

What really matters are the skills, the power that you have to grasp things easily. The motivation and curiosity that you have in you to learn new things. My classmate who got a 2.9 CGPA, he hardly attended lectures, he used to be full day on Reddit and GitHub , learned coding on his own and bagged the best package in our batch. What I have learned is that skills matters the most, just pick up one thing you are good at and be a master at it.

not at all it's just become Indian society thinking and if we want we can make our future without any involvement of academics all the problem of our education system is that they teach us we are loser's we can't do anything so we have to take their useless education and have to earn some litte momey ,let me give you example of an one of the most amazing person in India named sandeep maheswari

He is an 32 year old entrepreneur of one of the successful company Imagesbazzar.com he is not good in studies he was a chainsmoker. till 11 th class he drop out his college ,all his passion is in photography , everyone say he will do nothing in life but he don't give a damn and kept on trying now his company net worth is over 10.2 crore ,so academics doesn't really matter if you focus on one field apart from academics.

This is a random pic of my notebook , trust me I don’t remember anything now from college but I remember all my projects and practical lessons. Academics do matter, don’t take it lightly but don’t even depend fully on it.
