A lot of people will think this as a picture of an ordinary woman selling vegetables.

But she’s not an ordinary woman we are talking about. She truly is an exceptional women. I remember reading her non-fiction books as a part of my syllabus, and I am not really a fan of non-fiction genre but her stories! they are heart touching. most importantly the way she tells them, it makes you realize how simple life really is, how can you live it with joy and colors by doing little little things. It has inspired me so much, to be a better person and made me understand that she is no one special, the only difference is that she understands every experience she comes across, learn from it and spread her wisdom and not just sulk in it.

She is Sudha Murty, author and Chairperson of Infosys Foundation, and one of India’s richest women with a net worth of over Rs 2,480 crore (approximately 375 million dollars). As a true Indian she has understood the law of Karam very well. In the country which gave the world law of karam the people here seem to have forgotten the law needs to be practised in thoughts, speech & action. Whatever you think speak & do returns to your ownself irrespective whether done for self & others. There are no others as per law of Karam from the Bhagwad Geeta. Amongst Rare breed of beings practicing the same.

Mrs. Sudha Murty goes to Raghavendra Swamy temple in Bengaluru’s Jayanagar three days a year to help with the kitchen work.

She cleans the kitchen and the adjoining rooms; washes the dirty utensils, dusts the shelves, chops vegetables, takes inventory of stock, sweeps the yard and empties the trash cans.

She has showcased that money hasn’t changed her values at all.

The core of growing is acquiring values, it just doesn’t come with money.

“Giving money is easy, because it is a simple transaction. But doing physical seva is not. In the eyes of God we all are equal.”

- Mrs. Sudha Murty.
