7th Pay Commission Latest Update New Delhi: The Narendra Modi government at the Center has made a big announcement for the central government employees. The DA (Dearness Allowance, DA) of central employees has been increased and crores of employees will start getting the increased salary from September. According to a news of CNN-News 18, the employees' organization has claimed that the installment of Dearness Allowance for January and July 2020 as well as January 2021 will be given to the employees in September by adding the installment of July 2021.
The National Council has issued a letter informing that the Central Government has agreed to lift the ban on Dearness Allowance (DA) of central employees. The ban on dearness relief to pensioners has also been removed. According to CNN-News 18, central employees will get DA of 28 percent.
It was told that earlier 17 percent DA was available, but last year in January 2020, there was an increase of 4 percent. After this DA was again increased by 3 percent in June 2020. After this, in January 2021 also, there was an increase of 4 percent in DA. Overall, DA has now reached 28 per cent. This will benefit more than one crore employees and pensioners.
Increasing DA will increase the salary of the employees and increasing DR will increase the pension of the pensioners. Shivgopal Mishra, General Secretary, Central Employees Organization said that on June 26 and 27, the Cabinet Secretary of the Central Government was also present in the meeting of the National Council / JCM. A total of 28 issues were discussed in that meeting. At the same time, it was decided that all the three installments of DA and DR for the last 18 months would be paid to the employees and pensioners.
According to the report of Jagran, employees will get DA up to 31 percent. According to this, the DA in July 2020 was 24 percent, after the increase of December 2020, the DA reached 28 percent and if the increased DA of July of this year is added, it has reached 31 percent. Employees will be paid accordingly.
