Which players will be sacrificed in Team India?  Captain Virat Kohli gave signs of making changes

Southampton: Indian captain Virat Kohli hinted at a change in the Test team after the World Test Championship final defeat at the hands of New Zealand, saying after a performance review, the right people will be brought in, who will come in with the right mindset to perform well.  .  The Indian batsmen disappointed in the final, as the team lost by eight wickets.  Kohli did not take any names, but said that some players are not showing the spirit to score runs.

Senior batsman Cheteshwar Pujara scored eight runs in 54 balls and played 35 balls for his first run.  He then scored 15 runs in 80 balls in the second innings.  New Zealand easily achieved the target of 139 runs.  Kohli said in the post-match online press conference, “We will continue to introspect and talk about what needs to be done to make the team stronger.  Will not follow the same path.

It is understood that some senior players will be given time and only after doing well in the five-Test series against England will they be able to save their place in the team.  "We will not wait for a year," he said.  If you look at our limited overs team, we have the depth and the players are full of confidence.  It is needed in Test cricket as well.  We have to review and plan afresh and understand what is effective for the team and how we can play fearlessly.  We have to bring in the right people who come in with the right mindset to perform well.

We will take this decision and discuss it: Kohli

For the current team management, 50 runs in 80 balls are more valuable than 15 runs in 80 balls.  Over-defensive mindset puts pressure on the incoming batsmen.  Kane Williamson made a very slow half-century in the first innings, but in the second innings, he scored an 80-ball half-century in the last session.  Kohli said, “It is important to continuously improve our performance in the game.  Especially when you've been the number one team for many years in a row, you can't suddenly drop your level.  We will take these decisions and talk about it.

He also talked about scoring runs in front of a brilliant bowling attack like New Zealand.  “We have to work on how to score runs.  We don't have to let the match get out of our hands.  I don't think there is any technical problem.  It's a matter of awareness and facing the bowlers fearlessly.  The bowlers are not allowed to bowl at one spot for a long period of time unless the ball is swinging as strongly as it did on day one.

He asked the batsmen to strike a balance between taking planned risks and staying at the crease.  He said, 'The focus should be on scoring runs, not on worrying about losing wickets.  Similarly, you can put pressure on the opposing team or else you will play with the fear of getting out.  You have to take planned risks.
