The most expensive actor whom charges per minute

Actors aren’t quite making what they used to. In the 1990s, you had the Tom Hanks, Brad Pitts of the world who were commanding huge salaries, tens of millions of dollars per film, along with a percentage of backend revenue.

Unless you are a critical member of a super hero franchise, your odds of getting massive paydays are low.

Robert Downey Jr was famously paid $10 million for his role in Spiderman: Homecoming, in which he only spent 8 minutes actually on the camera, which came out to $1.3 million per minute.

Mark Hamill also was only in The Force Awakens for a total of 30 seconds and didn’t say a single line but still got a million dollars for the appearance.

It’s fair to say he’d earned his way to that easy gig though. It was an epic cameo.

I believe today’s highest paid actor is Dwayne Johnson sitting around $65 million.

If you do the numbers, we’re talking about $520.83 per minute (annual holidays excluded).

$65 million divided by 52 weeks a year = $1,25 million a week.

5 working days per week = $250,000 per day.

Per hour (8 hour day) = $31,250.

60 minutes per hour = $520.83 per minute.

It’s very hard to put an exact figure on it, as no actor is in a film for the entire duration of a year, the numbers above are just a guesstimate, in actuality while filming he’s likely to be earning a hell of a lot more per minute while the movie is actually being filmed.
