I think, there might be a lot of changes occuring within the next 5000 years albeit some stable countries or societies mght be still somewhat recognizeable within the next just 1000 or up to 2000 years.
I think of China which was more or less a stable culture on its own. It existed 2000 years ago and will continue to exist the centuries to come.
Or the cultures on the Indian sub-continent.
And if humanity reaches an interplanetary level of development, the map on Earth AND the solar system will be fully new.
There might be real world countries as well as virtual countries in the cyberspace, some nations could be ruled by artificial intelligences, some still by humans and many other changes even in the next just centuries

Actually, 2000 years ago the country called China didn’t exist, at least politically it is a completely different entity which didn’t call themselves China. China originally stems from Qin, which, luckily, didn’t survive for long. The dynasty after it, Han, which existed about 2000 years ago, call themselves Han and not Qin, because it was related to tyranny.
Chinese history like to view everyone occupying the land as China, whoever is in charge calls themselves that.(In fact, most of them don’t) If you use the same criteria, you can likely just say British was more or less stable on its own for the past 2000 years. Yes, it has been conquered by Romans and Vikings and Normans, but so does China by the Qin(which was not included in Zhou), Jin, Mongols, Qing, etc

To conclude, no one can be certain as to what will constitute the political map of the world in the next fifty years let alone as to its make up in 5 thousand years hence.

It’s just quite empty with 5 blotches of blue which we could actually call “countries.
It changed a lot between 1814 and 1914 too though. For one, Italy and Germany didn't exist in 1814. Neither did Belgium. And that's just Europe (and even in Europe surely far from a full sample).
in 1914, although the Emperor of Qing dynasty abdicated his throne, Tibet never declared breaking away from China. Therefore, the entire world recognize Tibet as part of the new Republic of China. But almost at the same time when China became a Republic (The first Republic of Asia by then), the British government tried to encourage Tibet to break away from China while China was in Chaos after revolution. No current culture or nation existed 5000 years ago in any recognizable way, shape or form. We should assume the same for the future. For instance, at the rate languages evolve, a scant few of them are even intelligible beyond a few hundred years.
Also hundreds of civilizations and societies can cycle in 5000 years. Very people seem to understand how long of a time span that really is.
