Best female acting performances of all time in bollywood Which actor was the most consistent with his/her work in the last decade?

Charlize Theron is the actress for all seasons.

Over the last decade, she consolidated her position as not only one of the finest actresses going around but also one that has found enviable harmony between versatility and consistency.

Theron began the decade flaunting complete mastery over her craft; her work in Young Adult (2011) is one of her finest hours as a performer.

Penned by Diablo Cody, the film offered Theron a deliciously wicked character, and the South-African superstar sunk her teeth into the meaty role.

Theron’s next project, Snow White and The Huntsman (2012), is telling of her ‘one for me, one for you,’ approach this decade.

While the movie was decidedly average, Theron was radiant. She shone brightly in an average film, a quality shared by all great movie stars.

Prometheus (2013) and A Million Ways to Die in the West (2014) are something of a dark spot in her filmography, particularly the latter.

But what came next more than compensates for such lapses.

In 2015, Theron was the star of one of the best movies of the last decade and one of the greatest action movies of all time – Mad Max: Fury Road.

Her role as Furiosa seemingly stoked her action fire, and she went on to star in Atomic Blonde (2017) and The Old Guard (2020), completing an altogether great action trifecta.

Oh, and then there’s the small matter of the billion-dollar Fate of The Furious (2017), which was as good as movies of this nature can be.

In between kicking bubble-gum and chewing ass, Theron lent her voice to Kubo and the Two Strings (2016), an animated classic whose beauty, both thematic and visual, cannot be overstated.

Having conquered action and drama, Theron set her sights on comedy. The Long Shot (2019) was a delightful rom-com, and its failure at the box-office remains baffling.

Theron ended the decade with a potent reminder in the form of Tully (2018) and Bombshell (2020).

Almost as if to tell us, “Ya, I’m great at action, but don’t forget that I am a transformative force of nature and a dramatic actor of the highest calibre.”

That is the key to her long-lasting appeal – Charlize Theron can do everything. And she’s excellent in everything.

She certainly was over the last 10 years.
