In my opinion, it’s this guy:
Why? Simple: No one will ever suspect that he’s Batman.
Val Kilmer was too stiff.
Christian Bale is 90% Batman even when in Bruce Wayne mode. He quickly escapes during Joker’s attack to change to Batman. He flirts but never sticks and most of his speeches are too eloquent. He can’t even help but give a hint to the girl he loved.
Michael Keaton, however, plays the perfect Bruce Wayne. He sounds like a typical rich kid, slightly arrogant, doesn’t give a shit about anything. He kept his mask up all the time as Bruce; in every single scene he almost never breaks character.
Even when face to face with the Joker, he did not break character. He convincingly plays the angry billionaire and gets shot. Bale’s Bruce Wayne would’ve fought back or something.
If you tell people Keaton’s Wayne is Batman, even super villains would deny it. There’s no way that spoiled rich kid is Batman, and that’s a great Bruce Wayne.
