What did you learn about your ancestry from your DNA test?

DNA tests are fun for us Americans because our bloodlines are almost never from this country, we are all mutts.

My DNA test results came back.

I have bad news to report to some of you, I am not in fact Indian.

#WhiteDudeConfirmed.

The only expectation I had was that I'd be a bit Irish as dad's side emigrated from there multiple generations ago and hence my Irish name.

I was surprised to find out that I had 2% Native American in me.

So technically, I am indeed part Indian, just American Indian.

I was talking about my results with a friend. He said that his results came back at 60% Native American.

I said, "That explains why you don't have any body hair!" (He really doesn't. He's a 40 year old man with no body hair. And true story - Native Americans rarely grow body hair.)

He points at his chest, smiles, and says, "Hey baby, you can't grow grass on a playground!!!!!" :P
