He's European. It’s really funny how most of the answers here are wrong.
Let’s start first by saying the truth about what Hollywood gets right
Suburban houses in the U.S DO look like this

In fact, they are really cheap if you live anywhere that isn’t California.
Schools DO look like this
Now, all these will depend on where you live. Generally speaking, as someone who lived in California, Texas, South Carolina, and the NY/NJ area, suburban areas and schools are depicted right by Hollywood. Are there worse looking areas than this? Yes, but there are more better looking parts than bad anywhere in the country.
This is the house where I used to live in Texas, and believe me, we only paid $1,600 for rent.
In general, I think Hollywood does not get American diversity. You’ll generally see more white people than black, or asians. If you go to San Francisco, you would be surprised by the huge amount of Asians helping you anywhere you go. If you go to New Orleans, that would be blacks. If you go to Houston, that would be Mexicans. So the white-rich lifestyle in Hollywood movies does not represent the truth about race and diversity in the country.
When it comes to cities, I think Hollywood always focus on how rich people live in New York or Los Angeles. They think everyone lives like this:
Daredevil
When in reality, many live like Peter Parker in Spiderman 2 or Joker.
Also, if you think people in Miami live the same as people in Denver or Seattle, you’re wrong. Houses and life in general are different depending on where you are. I have always said to people, if your only experience in the U.S. was in Miami, you have no idea how the U.S. is. Same goes for Texas, New York, California or Vermont. Hollywood tries to have a richer and neutral version of anything, but sometimes they get it right.
