- Gone Girl.
A psychological mystery thriller about a missing wife. The performance by Rosamund Pike as Amy Dunne was both amazing and chilling as she is presented as an intelligent deceptive villain. What I love about this movie is how the audience falls for Amy’s trick and we are completely deceived throughout the film and that is exactly one of the messages in the film. How the media can easily manipulate people. The movie as a whole really makes you stop and think about the flaws of our society.
2.Inception.
An imaginative complex story about a man called Dom Cobb played by Learanado Di Caprio who has the ability to enter dreams and steal from the subconscious. It's amazing. The whole portrayal of the movies is extremely captivating and really does leave you in awe. The final act in the movie has to be one of the most thrilling sequences I have ever and really keeps you on the edge of your seat
3.Shutter Island.
This film is about a Us marshall called Teddy Daniels who investigates a missing person case on a remote island. This movie is quite gripping and as it progresses it becomes more and more tense. Shutter Island gives us an amazing performance from Leonardo once more and the ending definitely made me ponder a few things.
4.Avengers Infinity War.
Definitely the best Marvel movie ever. This had everything from action, comedy, suspense, and emotions, and the Russo brothers presented us with an epic adventure. The chemistry between the characters really stands out and the ending will definitely be one of the most memorable scenes in film history let alone marvel history.
5.Memento.
A film about a man suffering from amnesia trying to find the man who killed and raped his wife. This is a really interesting film that makes audiences attempt to piece much of the film little by little and then seeing all finally put together at the end. Interestingly director Christopher Nolan tells the story backward giving the film an interesting twist.
6.The Prestige.
Is that Nolan again??? Yes, it is. A film about the destructive rivalry between two magicians who desperately try to outperform one another. This film is exactly like a magic trick and you can’t believe entirely what you see.
7. The Dark Knight.
The second installment in arguably one of the best Trilogies to date. It follows the story of Batman facing his iconic nemesis the Joker played excellently by Heath Ledger who creates anarchy across Gotham city. It is up to Batman to rise above the challenge and save his city.
