Do you have any empathy for Trump supporters who are obviously disappointed in the election results?

Dear lord, the sheer amount of idiots answering this question is mind boggling.

People have this strange idea that if someone worships a different god then you, or voted for a different politician, or heck, likes a different kind of movie, they must be evil. Or stupid. Most likely both.

Is it really so hard to understand that people are varied? That they have different opinions, and that they have reasons for having these opinions? How can anyone seriously think that half of America was just born evil and dumb? It’s like people believe life is a Disney movie. Yes, people who are flat out evil do exist. But most people are entirely convinced, for a reason, that they are the good guys.

I’m strongly pro-life. That being said, I don’t see pro-choice people as evil. I don’t think they’re baby killers who enjoy abortions. They think that there’s no way that a fetus is sentient and that the government should have no control over what you do with your body. They believe they are championing for women’s rights. I think they’re wrong. But I don’t think they’re evil.

I know people who vote for Trump and people who vote for Biden. My relatives especially are pretty strong one way or another. Some of them are genuinely horrible people, others are great. But politics never seem to dictate which is which. Most trump supporters are normal people. They have families and jobs. They have things they believe in, and people they believe in. And they have a reason for believing that.

Everyone wants to believe that they’re right and everyone else is wrong. But there’s literally no way of knowing that. I’ve written political answers on here that make me want to go back in time and slap my stupid younger self. I want to be a little bit more careful now. I realize that I might be completely wrong on lot my positions. And even if I’m right, the other side always exists for a reason. People don’t vote for trump because they ‘hate democracy‘ or because they’re brainwashed. They have reasons for voting for him.

The media, the politicians, and the extreme side of both want you do believe that democrats are:

and republicans are:

But in reality they’re both normal people.

Can you guess if this family is Republican or Democrat? Because technically they’re neither, they aren’t even a family just a bunch of models who probably don’t even know each other. Seriously though. You get what I’m saying.

So yes, I have empathy for Trump Supporters. They’re humans, after all

EDIT:

I wrote this before the riots on Capitol. I want to make it very clear that my empathy doesn’t extend to the rioters trying to over turn the election. Most trump supporters are not these people. At this point most aren’t even calling themselves trump supporters and would prefer to distance themselves from him. So this is more about Ex-Trump supporters if anything
