And honestly, this is one of my favorite parts of Age of Ultron. It sets up a lot of what’s going to happen in Civil War between Steve and Tony as well as shows off just the brute strength of Captain America.
If you want to test out how supremely difficult this would be, you can try this experiment (although it might take quite a while…). To teach us about friction, my eighth grade science teacher got two large textbooks and closed them on top of each other page by page, alternating which textbook’s page went down. By the end, it was virtually impossible to pull the textbooks apart without opening them. I imagine that tearing a thick log apart like that would be somewhat similar, albeit much more difficult.
