Why did Tony Stark not bring the Mark 48 suit with him along with the Mark 50 on Titan so he would have a backup suit? Since he makes suits out of nano tech since civil war.

There are 2 reasons that he didn't bring the Mark 48 as back up.

For one, the Mark 50 was just too powerful. At the time, this was the most advanced and powerful suit he had created. This was his magnum opus. The Mark 50 was the best suit for the job of stopping Thanos and if it didn't work, then the Mark 48 wouldn't have been effective either. The only way that I could see this as useful is as a means of escaping from Thanos.

Also, where would Tony have kept it? It's quite big.

As demonstrated in Infinity War, it isn't made of nano technology. Well, not the same nano technology as the Mark 50. It can't repair itself after Cull Obsidian ripped off its arm, and in the infinity war trailer, which canon credentials is dubious at best, an arm was shown, suggesting that it is assembled in pieces instead of nano technology.

This, combined with the first point, shows that it wouldn't be worth the hassle of bringing it to Titan.

Thanks for Reading;~)
