What is something unrealistic that you often see in movies that annoys the hell out of you?

People with gleaming white teeth in every movie.

First off, let me be straight. I don't care if you bleach your teeth paper-white, its not my body but yours. However, what I find ridiculous is that every movie, ecspically post apocalypse films where people are MEANT to be dirty and gruffy, the main characters teeth always look like this:

(Photo: Han mason, one of the main protagonist in the post-apolocypse television series: “Falling skies” with gleaming ass teeth while )

I’m sorry, how the fuck is that possible. You live in the apocalypse, have dirty ripped clothing and barely have any food to feed your children, yet you still have gleaming white teeth.

What, did everything but toothpaste run out in Mad max? This also goes to other movies not just post apocalypse genre.

In the 2016 remake of Ben-Hur, the main character has gleaming white teeth even though the movie is based in ancient Rome. Rome did not have good dental care. It would be impossible to have moon-white teeth like Ben-Hur did or anyone else during that period. If you’re making a historical movie do it correctly!

(A rather dirty Ben Hur riding on his chariot. Yet, even though he's meant to be a Roman slave, his teeth are as white as whipped cream.)

Also another problem with white teeth is that it's always the villain who has normal teeth. The main character NEVER has bad teeth regardless of their status. For example, Katniss Everdeen from the hunger games is from a rural, backwards society where people starve to death. However even though she's basically a starved peasant, her teeth look like this:

White, clean and glamorous. However if we look at President Snow, the villain who is also one of the richest men alive and takes great care of his looks - his teeth look like this:

Dirty, grotty, and badly cleaned. Even though he's one of the richest men alive and cares deeply of the way he dresses.

Movie logic right there.
