I don't remember how I stumbled on this photo.
The vanishing point is nice. It's cliche but I still like it. It seems to provide a place to go to.
I don't really know what that thing is. Is it a pipe carrying something above the water? Is it just a foundation for approach lights at an airport? I don't know.
The color palette is peaceful to me. I like the slight pink as you look to the vanishing point. It creates a calmness that I associate with a certain time of day on the water.
The water is mellow as well. There is the slight reflection but nothing arresting. The water is calm - just a few unorganized ripples.
The horizon is nearly indistinct again adding to the laziness and peacefulness of the image.
The overall feeling is of peacefulness in an man-made environment, the sort of thing you might pass by without realizing there is beauty lurking there right in front of you. But it turns out there is.
