I am from India, more specifically South India.
Thess three foods are unique to the southern most part of India.
Karuppatti
This is called palm candy. Its prepared in the southern tip of India, and is a natural sweetner. I have a warm cup of karupatti cofee every morning. It can be consumed with or without milk.
Ulunthu kali
This is a porridge kind of a sweet dish made from urid dal, raw rice, karupatti and gingely oil. It is very healthy and given to girls when they menstruate. It is believed to strengthen the girl's back and support her during child birth. It is also super tasty😋
Sweet Sev
This is made from gram flour and coated witb sugar syrup. I am not sure if it is limited to south India, but I am not finding it elsewhere.
And one more honourable mention is, Muscoth Halwa
This is made from wheat milk and Sugar and lots of coconut oil. This type of thickened wheat halwa is different from other types of halwas. And it's so satisfying to eat😉
All the items are sweet, since I have a very sweet tooth and love sweets☺️
All pics are from google
Edit 1: seems like the last two are available throughout India and not limited to South India. Thats nice😉
