Unusual habits of some highly successful people:

  • Voltaire (Writer, Historian & Philosopher):

Drinking copious amount of Coffee.

Voltaire is said to have drunk between 40–50 cups of coffee a day. Despite his doctor’s warning, Voltaire lived to the age of 83.

  • Henry Ford (Industrialist):

Eating “roadside greens”

Ford’s favorite lunch consisted of soybeans bread and stewed ‘roadside greens’. Strange eating habits are not unusual among famous people.

Steve jobs was known to eat only carrots for long stretches of time and Hugh hefner eats homemade food even when he’s in a restaurant.

  • Thomas Edison (Inventor & Entrepreneur):

The “Salt Test”

Edison wouldn’t hire anyone who added salt to their soup without tasting it first. He wanted to hire people who would test their assumptions before acting to them.

  • Bill Gates (Inventor & Entrepreneur):

“Chair rocking”

Bill gates is said to rock his chair in both moments of intensity and when he needs to disconnect and focus. According to his roommates, this habit dates back to at least his college days, when he would do long stretches of programming in his dorm room.

  • Steve Jobs (Inventor & Entrepreneur):

“Crying profusely”

Steve jobs would cry in quite a number of instances. According to his authorized biography, this included both tears of joy and tears of frustration.

  • Donald Trump (President of US, Businessman, Entrepreneur):

“Germophobe”

The president is known to carry a hand sanitizer everywhere, often refuses to shake hands and avoids touching the bottom button on a elevator.

  • Yoshiro Nakamatsu (Inventor):

“Being close to death”

Nakamatsu dives underwater and claims his best ideas comes to him when he’s ‘0.5 seconds before death.’

He’s the one who invented Floppy Disk.

  • Benjamin Franklin (Author, Politician, Inventor, Scientist & Diplomat):

“Cold air bath”

Benjamin Franklin would open all windows and stay nude for 1–2 hours each morning. He believed this would clean his body and protect him against disease.
