John David Washington has broken-out as an actor in the last few years.
He nailed his role in BlacKkKlansmen, scoring a Golden Globe nomination and a Screen Actor’s Guild Award nomination.
Only a couple of years later, he followed up that performance by headlining Tenet, Christopher Nolan’s latest blockbuster attempt. The film didn’t perform well at the box-office, but Washington’s performance was a highlight for many.
Washington may be 36 years old but he’s just hitting the prime of his acting career.
…and that seems to run in the family. It turns out, John David Washington is the son of one of the most respected actors of all-time: Denzel Washington.
Suddenly, I can understand where John David Washington got some of his acting chops.
Good for Denzel. He clearly raised a leading man who could eventually become one of the most popular actors of the 2020s. I guess we can add that to the long list of Denzel’s lifetime achievements.
What a squad. Maybe if we’re lucky, we’ll even get to see them star together someday.
