The Duchess of Cambridge followed the Dukan diet in the days before her wedding to Prince William. I haven’t heard of her following that particular diet anymore, but she follows a very clean, healthy diet plan. Breakfast might be a green smoothie or muesli with fruit on top. Lunch might be a green salad with some lean protein like chicken or salmon and dinner is typically roasted vegetables with more lean protein. Kate doesn’t really snack. She drinks a lot of water and some tea, unsweetened, of course.
If Catherine decides to have an alcoholic beverage, it might be a small glass of wine. And there are cheat days, of course, and she’ll eat pizza or indulge in puddings. But only on special days or when Kate feels like enjoying a good curry. Raw foods are her go-to though, and it shows!
The other part of Kate staying so thin is plenty of exercise. At least an hour in the morning, and that may be followed by a walk with Prince Louis in a stroller, or chasing after George and Charlotte. I’ve read that the Duchess likes to work on her core, so some Pilates firms up the abdomen post-baby. Light weights help too. A couple of games of tennis might be fit into her packed schedule. She’s quite a good athlete.
And Catherine comes from a very outdoorsy, athletic family. They ski, hike, bike (Pippa enjoys biking through London) and Kate played many sports at school. At university, she rose early (a habit she still follows) and would take a run before classes began.
Plenty of sleep is essential to staying thin. I know the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are early risers, so they likely tumble into bed an hour or two after their three kids fall asleep. Fresh air, good sleep, clean meals with lots of water and exercise help keep Duchess Kate in enviable form.
