Tom Selleck left a $2020.00 tip on a bill of just over $200 at Elio’s, a wonderful red-sauce restaurant in New York City.
Selleck is in New York filming an episode of the long-running TV show “Blue Bloods”.
Tom’s benevolent gesture was revealed on Twitter by co-star Donnie Wahlberg who has been encouraging fellow actors to do the same as part of
the so-called——“2020 Tip Challenge”.
Wahlberg posted a note from Selleck, his TV dad, on Twitter, that read,
———“I am honoring my friend Donnie Wahlberg’s “tip challenge” with my sincere hope for a better 2021”——
Donnie Wahlberg has given the same tip at least twice.
James Corden and Adele have also taken part in the challenge, which began when a waitress in Michigan received a tip of $2020 on a bill of $23.
