- Beaches: U can find a beach anywhere here…and beaches are calm, nt crowded and clean…
- Food: Udupi is famous for food..and u get seafood that is mouth-watering…the hotels and the menu here is exquisite..also u get unlimited thali with rice and fish curry for 40rs..
- Fewer people: City is nt crowded and has peaceful aura…also the people here are friendly and helpful.
- Religious: Udupi has all religious places that cater to the needs…we have the Sri Krishna matha that's famous, also the st. Lawrence basilica, various mosque.
- Amenities: Udupi does have malls, Restaurants, shopping complexes etc too..
- Transport: As lesser ppl…lesser traffic and there are frequent buses that can take u safely to ur destination..
- Greenery: Udupi is nt a concrete city…as there are lots of plants, coconut trees which gives u a village life kinda experience.
- Pollution: As fewer ppl, less traffic and more greenery, pollution here is minimal.
- In Udupi temples…we do have free meals for the devotees… and it is nt caste biased and lunch is served to everyone irrespective of their religious beliefs or financial status..so in Udupi, we defy the age-old saying" there is no such thing as a free meal”
- We in Udupi have some famous educational institution like Manipal college of medical science, Nitk surathkal etc
- Regarding health care…we excel as we have around 20–25 hi-tech hospitals with all the latest and advanced equipment one can dream of..we have cancer care centre as well
- Mangalore has a seaport, international airport, Railway station, ksrtc bus stands, private busses for transport convenience..
- Mangalore is called the ice cream capital of India as u can find all varieties of ice creams here… The famous gudbud was invented here in Udupi.
I don't think u need anything else than this…

- This year, Udupi recorded the highest temp in India…climate here is hot and humid..so sweaty shirts are a common sight..
- We have some communal disturbances as well here..
