What "poverty food" is actually really delicious?

Disclaimer: I don't think in India we have poverty food, I would rather call them economical eceryday food. We are united by food and enjoy each and every type of food across the length and breadth of our country. Northern Indian foods have found their admirers in Southern part of India, same goes for food from the Eastern and Western parts of India.

Butter milk: Tasty and Refreshing……

Noodles: Hot and Spicy……

Idli sambar : Made famous worldwide ..thanks Twitter.. :)

Lassi: Drink a glass and you won’t ask for anything for hours..

Poha : An all time, on the go snack. Made of rice and popular ingredient like groundnuts. This is a light and lip smacking food.

Palak ki sabji : You can find this delicacy at every household in winters. Its prepared under $1, and is rich in Vitamin A.

Pumpkin Bhaji : At the time of bhandara, you can enjoy this sweet and tangy sabji which is everyone's favorite. This comes packed with minerals that reduces hair fall and improves eyesight.

Daliya : Considered as one of the belly filling food that provides nutrition for the whole day. Its easy to. make and easy to digest.

Litti Chokha : A dish made from Bihar that is dipped with desi ghee can be found at majority of metro cities in India. And yes people go gaga over it.

Kachori Sabji : A popular evening snack in India, stuffed kachori with sabji is a must try in rainy day.

Khichdi : Made from rice and lentils this is a tasty dish you can try with just two main ingredients.

Groundnuts : Packed with essential vitamins and healthy oil for your body. Grab a fistful of roasted groundnuts.

Chole Kulche : Don't ask anyone where you can find chole Kulche. Just follow the mouthwatering smell.

Chole Bhature : This is a heavy dish and you need to have space in your belly before you proceed. The taste itself will fill your space let alone the quantity.

Corn : Roasted corn on charcoals and lemon squeezed over it. Ask the vendor to spread some rock salt.
