What is your skincare routine?

There is no strict routine except for keeping the body hydrated enough! Drinking water is the best you can do to your skin. I am not obsessive about skincare but I am aware and active about it.

I am trying to keep up with the routine which involves -

  • Drinking warm water as soon as I wake up - It flushes out toxins and its great on empty stomach. My brain signals me every now and then to drink water and over the years, body is used to having water and cannot do without less water intake now. It automatically signals for more water!
  • Using a mild soap like Dove or Pears for face while bathing.
  • Rubbing ice cubes on face for at least 5–10 minutes. Especially on the dark circles to remove puffiness.
  • Drinking green tea regularly! I love green tea and it is so relaxing and refreshing filled with anti oxidants!
  • Moisturizing skin after bath! Sunblock for the face and a nice effective moisturizer for the rest of the body!
  • Steaming my face once or twice a weak! It is great for the skin! It makes your skin glow and refreshes it! Also during covid times, it has multiple benefits!
  • Utilising the waste items! Rubbing used lemon, orange peels to remove tan. Freezing used green tea bags and putting it on eyes!
  • Daily dose of vitamin C. I love fruits and vegetables and I ensure I have my vitamins through them. Be it lemons, tomatoes oranges, grapes or amla (gooseberry), I have at least one of it included every day in my diet.
  • I love healthy food! I ensure I incorporate a balanced diet. I munch on dry fruits instead of oily chips, colorful different fruits and salads instead of maggi, amla candies instead of sugar candies, green tea instead of coffee!
  • I exfoliate my face regularly. I do face yoga when doing mundane tasks like cutting vegetables or staring at a screen.
  • I use nose strips twice a month to clear black heads caused due to dirt.
  • I apply nice lip balm over night to wake up with soft and plump lips.

So its nothing fancy but everything that is available easily and is essential for a great spotless skin. I am too learning elaborate steps for skin care but honestly, these things are it and you follow it regularly, you will have a great lustrous glow!

Also, what you put inside your body shows outside. All these surge in products of skin care is just mostly business. Believe in healthy lifestyle and you will have your results!
