The cheapest and best things to decorate a room

Whether you just moved into a new place or you're just tired of your old aesthetic, a relaxing and beautiful bedroom is within reach. I promise you don't need to spend thousands of dollars or too much time creating a dreamy new space.

  1. very fiirst thing I will suggest you start with some fairy lights.

2. Make an impact without too much commitment with removable wallpaper. When you're tired of the look, just replace it with a different pattern or paint.

3. Your eyes aren't deceiving you: Mirrors make any room look bigger by reflecting light. A mirror as a headboard or even leaning up against the wall will help a small room feel spacious.

5. The room feels chicer when covered from top to bottom in the same warm shade of gray. With a dark color like this, leave bedding light and bright to keep the space from seeming cave-like.

6. A bar cart makes a great nightstand. Keep a lamp and alarm clock up top, a carafe and glasses on the middle shelf, and extra linens and a catchall basket underneath, so everything you could ever need is in reach.

7. You'll be shocked how different your gold table lamp and dresser look when a huge modern painting is hung behind it. Suddenly you've got a vignette instead of simply a plain surface.

9. All it takes is a cozy chair, a standing lamp, and a new book to make the corner of your bedroom feel like a brand new space.

10. Adding a properly-sized area rug makes a room look bigger and more pulled together, even on top of carpeting. Be sure to choose one that's large enough to tuck under the bed and at least one other piece of furniture.

11. Pillows can be comfy and cute, but they shouldn't take up more than half of the bed. Two sets of appropriately sized bed pillows and a lumbar pillow are all you need. Different textures will help liven up your display, too.

12. Adding an unconventional light fixture draws the eye upwards (making the room feel bigger) and turns an otherwise safe room into a glamorous space.

13. You'll be surprised what some fresh flowers will do on your nightstand. This is especially important if you have a neutral bedroom. Just add colorful blooms on the weekly to keep it lively.

Hope it helps!
