Is Gemma Chan the only actress to play two different characters in the MCU?

No, there are several other actors, other than Gemma Chan who played two or more roles within MCU, Here are the list of some of those actors…

MARTIN STARR

The actor first appeared in Incredible Hulk, as a guy who was bribed by Bruce Banner, with pizza to allow him access to the Culver University computer lab. He later appeared in Spider-Man Homecoming, where he played a completely different character, Mr Harrington, Peter Parker's teacher and academic decathlon coach.

LAURA HADDOCK

She first appeared in Captain America: The First Avenger, as a young woman seeking autograph from Cap. Then she appeared again in, Guardians of the Galaxy (both vol 1 and vol 2), as Peter Quill's mother Meredith Quill.

ALFRE WOODARD

She played Miriam Sharpe, in Captain America: Civil War, a woman whose son died in Battle of Sokovio. Then she played a completely different character, in both the seasons of Luke Cage, as Black Mariah, a Harlem based councilwoman and Cottonmouth’s elder sister.

CLANCY BROWN

Eminent voice and live action actor, Clancy Brown, portrayed Ray Schoonover, Frank Castle's former commanding officer, in few episodes of Daredevil Season two and Punisher Season One and surprisingly, he appeared again in MCU, as the voice for fire demon Surtur, who is responsible for causing Ragnarok, the destruction of Asgard.

KENNETH CHOI

He first appeared in Captain America: The First Avenger as Jim Morita, a member of the Howling Commandos team, during WW2, He later reprised the same role in an episode of Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Then he appeared again, in Spider-Man Homecoming, as Midtown High's Principal Morita, a character that turns out be the grandson of Jim Morita.

TONY CURRAN

The actor first appeared in cameo, as Odin’s father, Bor, in Thor The Dark World. in a flashback scene. Later, he appeared again in Daredevil Season two, as Irish mobster, Finn Cooley, who gets shot by Frank Castle a.k.a. Punisher.

PAUL BETTANY

He voiced J.A.R.V.I.S. in all 3 Iron Man films and the first two Avengers films, In Age of Ultron, when Ultron destroyed J.A.R.V.I.S., his remaining programming codes, were uploaded in a synthetic body, made up of Vibranium and Mind Stone. Thus created Vision, and the actor who played Vision was none other than Paul Bettany himself.

MAHERSHALA ALI

He appeared in MCU, as a mob boss, Cottonmouth, in the first season of Luke Cage. Now, it has been announced that, he is going to play, vampire-hunting vigilante, Eric Brooks a.k.a Blade, in an upcoming MCU’s Phase Five film, Blade.

TAIKA WAITITI

He is well known in MCU, for directing Thor Raganrok, and for upcoming Thor Love and Thunder. Other than that, he plays, Korg, in both the films and Avengers Endgame. What many people don’t know is that, he also did the motion capture for, Surtur, Hulk and left head of Hajo in Ragnarok.

STAN LEE

He is one of the first and most prolific writers / creators of the Marvel Universe, known for creating many of the well-known Marvel characters, such as Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Black Widow, Spider-Man and several others, He played a lot of cameo roles in MCU movies and tv shows, he played, Irving Forbush, in most of the MCU/Netflix tv shows. He also played an unnamed Limo Driver in Runaways, an unnamed Man on Bench in Agent Carter, an unnamed Debonair gentleman, in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and as Watcher Informant, in all the MCU films, but only until Avengers Endgame, as he got passed away on, 12 November 2018, at the age of 95.

We all know that Bennedict Cumberbatch played Doctor Strange in multiple MCU movies, but most of the audiences don’t know that, he also played one of the antagonists in his first Dr Strange movie as Dormammu, in motion capture, he felt that, that Doramammu should be evil personification of Strange himself, and director Scott Derrickson, got impressed with his idea.
