Best Indian diet for weight loss?

Hey, I have lost 23kgs in 3 months, relying totally on Indian diet.

I can’t say about the ‘best’ weight loss diet but can share some tips that have worked for me and can be helpful for others too.

Now coming to the diet plan; for weight loss no matter what you do, you have to go on a calorie deficit diet. Now we have to understand which food nutrient affects the weight gain or weight loss. Over all our food can be divided into 3 macro nutrients

1.

Carbohydrates

These are the basic constituent of any food and is found in almost all food items(Rice, Roti, Fruits, sugar) . This is the thing which you have to target. Carbohydrates is something which is converted into glucose and then into fat if you are not using that excess glucose energy.

2. Fat

Fat is nothing but flavour, and metabolism of fat is very slow in order to lose weight and gain muscles you have to keep this fat amount low to moderate.
fat sources are Egg yolks, Red meat, ghee butter and so on

3. protein

The main part of your diet plan must revolve around this in order to lose weight. High orotein food such as chicken, soy and egg whites will help building muscles and will also help in fat metabolism.

MY DIET DURING WEIGHT LOSS

1.

Breakfast

Light to medium quantity, a complete meal with some good fats, complex carbs and protein to keep you full for long time

2 eggs

2 brown breads with peanut butter

2. lunch

Light to medium quantity usually includes
Rice 50 grams

3 eggs

Tomato chicken masala

Please remember these are made in coconut cooking oil(have less calories then mustard oil)

3. Dinner

Dinner is the lightest and mostly included protein only with very little carb 20–30 grams of rice or 1 roti.
along with 100 grams of chicken

Hence one can notice my whole diet revolves around protein and a very little of carbs.

Total nutrient value in such diets are

protein 70–80 gm

carbs 50–70 gm

Fats 20–30 gm

Along with this you should eat fibrous fruit (only one) such as banana or apple to keep your metabolism health and diminish your unhealthy food cravings.
Also make use of green tea, drink it frequently 2–3 medium cups a day.

Be consistent with this diet and you will see result in couple of weeks only.

Most importantly transformation is not a destination but a journey and you should enjoy this transformation journey.

I hope this will help you a little in achieving your weight loss goal.
