tips from Indian cooking perspective:
- Use a gas stove with more than two burners for cooking multiple dishes simultaneously.
- Use a pressure cooker with multiple pots to cook daal and rice at the same time. You may have a little soft rice but it will be a definite saving on time and cooking gas.
- Keep everyday essential things stocked up, like ginger garlic paste, grated coconut, tomato purée, peeled garlic pods, roasted ground nut powder etc.
- Plan a weekly menu to save time on thinking what to cook daily. Trust me, this the most challenging part of the cooking.
• Choose dishes wisely, just one complex preparation per meal. For example, if you are making paneer masala, go for a simple daal or make a simple potato fry along with chole or rajma curry. This is when you have 4 dish meal(Chapati/Dry Sabji/Rice/Curry) everyday.
Happy Cooking!
