Which Route is batter - Srinagar-Leh Highway or Manali-Leh Highway

Both the highways have their own beauty.Personally i liked Leh-manali highway.If you are travelling by bike then this highway will be perfect for you.Only advantage on Srinagar-leh highway is you can stop to kargil which must be in your place to visit list.

Its better to plan trip like srinagar———kargil———leh—-manali.

That will cover the all the places.

 According to me Srinagar-Leh route is much safer as compared to Manali Leh route. The only difficulty in the former route is the mighty Zojila pass. Other than that the roads are too good where as on the other side, the roads are a pain for almost 70–80% of the latter route.

Another difficulty in taking the Manali Leh route is that the ascend is pretty faster there and hence more chances of AMS hitting you. On the Srinagar Leh route, the ascend is much slower and hence your body would get better acclimatized here

Both routes are equally beautiful. I would suggest you to enter Leh through one and exit through another. That way you cover both routes. Recommended way is to enter through Srinagar and exit through Manali (Less chances of
