According to you which one is best food?
This?
Or this?
Or this?
Or this?
Years before:
She used to wake up at 5:30 in the morning only to make my breakfast and lunch box.
And while I'm catching the bus:
She: Do finish your lunch box today. You'll love what I've made.
Me: Okay Mumma.
She: Promise huh?
Me: Yea, promise. Now let me go.
She smiles and finally waves me a good-bye.
This was like a daily routine.
Usually, I used to finish my lunchbox but there were days when I didn't eat the whole tiffin because I didn't like the sabzi (veggie) or whatever mom has given me.
On those days, Mom used to go berserk.
Fast forward to so many years
Today, when I look back, I realize that it wasn't her anger but her love and care.
She was worried about my health. She was worried about me being hungry during the school hours.
At that time, it was just a lunch box for me.
But after eating mess food for years and skipping my breakfast and lunch (sometimes dinner, too), I realized that it was her love which she used to pack for me daily and not just food.
Whether in school or at home, she always made sure that I've taken my meals properly and I'm not hungry.
Everyone who has lived in hostel even once, can relate to my words.
So, which is the best food in the world?
For me, undoubtedly it's Maa ke hath ka khaana (Mom's hand-cooked food).
Whatever she cooks, is the best and my favorite.
Always
